Exhibition Concept

“Masked Emotions” explores the intricate layers of human identify and the mask we wear to navigate through this complex world. This exhibition delves into the dualities of desire, self-perception, and the tension between what we reveal and what we conceal. Through the fusion of historical and contemporary influences, it questions the fragility of identity and the role we play, inviting viewers to reflect on the boundaries between authenticity and superficiality. 

私たちは日常の中で、社会という舞台で様々な仮面を被り、時には自分自身にさえ演じることがあります。欲望や恐れ、喜びや悲しみと行った感情は、私たちのアイデンティティの核心を形成しながらも、しばしば隠されることがあります。本展では、日常生活の中で見せる「顔」と、その裏に隠された自分について考察します。外面的な姿と内面的な葛藤といったテーマを通じて、他者に見せる自分と心の奥に隠している自分との間にある根本的な問いを投げかけます。日本画やバロックなどの伝統美術と現代的な視点を融合させながら、アイデンティティの脆さや私たちが日々演じる役割について掘り下げています。
